Browsing data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols (IP addresses, time of the request, page requested, response code, browser type). This information is not collected to be associated with identified data subjects, but by its very nature could allow users to be identified. These data are used only to obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the site, to check its correct functioning and to ensure security; they are kept in the server log files for the time strictly necessary and in any case not beyond what is provided for by law.

Data provided voluntarily by the user

Sending messages through the contact forms on the site (quote request, contacts, price list request) or by e-mail involves the acquisition of the data entered (name, company, country, phone, e-mail address, content of the message). These data are used exclusively to answer the request and, if necessary, for the subsequent commercial contact related to the request itself.

Purposes and legal basis of the processing

• Replying to requests sent through the forms or by e-mail: the legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at the request of the data subject (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and the consent given by ticking the box in the form (Art. 6(1)(a)).
• Operation and security of the website: legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Providing the data marked as mandatory in the forms is necessary in order to follow up the request; failure to provide them makes it impossible to reply.

Processing methods and retention

Data are processed with IT and paper tools, with logic strictly related to the purposes indicated and with security measures suitable to prevent loss, unlawful use and unauthorised access. Messages sent through the forms are delivered by e-mail to the controller's sales offices and are not stored in databases of the website. Data are kept for the time needed to handle the request and for the subsequent commercial, administrative and legal obligations.

Recipients of the data

Data may be processed by authorised staff of the controller and by external parties providing instrumental services (hosting and e-mail provider, consultants), appointed as data processors where required. Data are not disseminated. The website is hosted on servers located in the European Union.

Rights of the data subject

At any time the data subject may exercise the rights provided for by Articles 15-22 of the GDPR: access to data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent (without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal), by writing to info@chtmotor.com or to the postal address of the controller. It is also possible to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
